It is early November in South Central Alaska and the days are growing very short. This Great Blue Heron, a young adult, has remained late into the season. With the ponds still ice free for the moment the Great Blue Heron enjoys exclusive fishing on this particular pond on this beautiful evening. The sun dipped low below the clouds long enough to bathe the marsh in glowing evening golden light. Edition of 500. Alaska. |
