Trumpeter Swans are very beautiful and graceful birds as well as very large and powerful.  In early spring disputes among birds for nesting territories are very common.  In this case a senior Trumpeter Swan pair were warding off all early spring newcomers to establish their breeding area.  The "victim" paired up and flew off to the next lake in the area hoping for a less eventful reception.  With three million lakes in Alaska, I am confident they found one eventually.  Edition of 500.
