A high altitude Bristlecone (Pinus aristata) welcomes the morning sun while elk bugle their approval from lower down the hill. The harsh climate will punish these trees again shortly with driving hurricane winds, heavy deep snow and brutally freezing temperatures but for now days like this are easy on these trees and they seem to quietly enjoy them. Edition of 500.
